About Canada

  1. CANADA IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, STUDY AND VISIT!

Canada is a developed country and one of the wealthiest in the world, with the tenth highest nominal per capita income globally, and the eighth ranking in the Human Development Index. It ranks among the highest in international measurements of government transparency, civil liberties, quality of life, economic freedom, and education.

Canada stretches from the U.S. in the south to the Arctic Circle in the north.

Canada is filled with vibrant cities including massive, multicultural Toronto; predominantly French-speaking Montréal and Québec City; Vancouver and Halifax on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, respectively; and Ottawa, the capital. It’s also crossed by the Rocky Mountains and home to vast swaths of protected wilderness.

Canada is a federation composed of ten provinces and three territories. These groups turn into four main regions Western Canada, Central Canada, Atlantic Canada, and Northern Canada ("Eastern Canada" refers to Central Canada and Atlantic Canada together).
